About the Boyds

We are a couple in our mid 20s with a passion for adventure and all things nature related. We met in a Psychology class at Sonoma State University when we were randomly paired for a presentation on OCD. After graduating from SSU one year later, we moved to Marin county to being our next chapter: cohabitation and graduate school--and of course adopting our 4-legged child, Toby. A year and a half later we found ourselves in the middle of a sticky rental foreclosure situation and decided that that was our cue to make a bold move and head out of state for greater opportunities.

On January 1, 2011 we packed the car full of suitcases and ventured forth to Portland, Oregon. Our new life started out a little bumpy with Katie's slow recovery from major surgery (Dec. '10) and Nick's frantic job search, but we don't regret any bit of it! Nick found a job as a personal banker and Katie became an Academic Coach to college students. Several months later, Nick received a job offer from his uncle in Eugene that he couldn't refuse. He packed up his bags and became a Real Estate Broker in Eugene, while Katie continued coaching away in Portland. For five months, they spent their weekends driving back and forth from PDX to Eugene. On February 16, 2012, Nick surprised Katie by showing up at work and popping the big question! About two weeks later, Nick whisked Katie down to Eugene for good (Toby in tow). We got married a year later!

For two years now we've been working together as a Real Estate Team with ReMax (Nick recruited Katie shortly after her move down to Eugene). We love the freedom and creativity that our jobs bring and the many wonderful people we get to help in the process. We recently bought our very first house and will be working hard to make it feel like home. Follow us as we customize and personalize this little nest of ours!
